Conscious Defense is grounded in the understanding that women move differently through public spaces and are too often denied full freedom and self-expression because of concerns for their safety. Our work begins with the belief that women are fully capable of powerful, effective self-defense and that they deserve to live without fear.
Women should experience true equality with men in every aspect of life. Society is tired of women living in constant fear of being attacked, and so are we. Enough is enough: too many women are routinely abused physically, emotionally, and sexually. With proper training and practical self-defense skills, the insanity of such fear can be systematically dismantled so that more women can move through the world with confidence, power, and peace.
